Making a Splash at Jambo Jipya with our first project, Painting fun!

Volunteers helping show one of the smaller children how to paint.

Our first trip to Jambo Jipya can only be seen as a huge success! During this first visit, the main task was to white wash the walls of the school corridors ready for vibrant, exciting, happy images to be painted on to them.

We were greeted by eager smiling faces with paint brushes at the ready, we were ready to begin!

The children and the even the teachers getting stuck in!

All the children really wanted to help with the scrubbing down of the walls and the painting; we sometimes struggled for jobs to do ourselves!

Everyone work incredibly hard!

The painting didn’t take as long as we thought which, was a very pleasant surprise. This gives us extra time to engage in fun and exciting activities in the next few days.

The children seemed excited to have new people around them, therefore, making us excited about the week’s activities ahead!
