Community class gets a facelift

Thanks from donations raised through GVI Charitable Trust, Community class students and GVI volunteers are enjoying renovations to the Olives Church, where our adult education classes are held.

Local workers hard at it (well most of them)

The Olives church has recently been transformed and fitted with a brand, new, concrete floor and twenty new chairs!

Laying of the concrete floor

No more mud or rubble!

Also the church has colourful sheetings and posters to brighten up the walls, two new blackboards and decorative plants.

Students in their improved surroundings

The facelift has created a warm, inviting atmosphere for adults of the local community to come along for English, Maths and computer lessons provided by GVI volunteers.

Big thankyou to GVI volunteer, Chris Reed and GVI staff member, Dianne Butler for their fundraising efforts that covered this cost.
