Khim's tips to being a teacher at Olives school

1) Helping a kid does not necessary mean giving him/her whatever s/he asked for
(As a chinese saying goes: It's more important to teach them to fish rather than giving it freely to them)

2) Be aware that drinking water is a limited availability for the school kids.

3) Be consistent with kids, they remember EVERYTHING

4) Being poor does not mean the kids are not smart

5) It is very easy to be happy

6) You become more creative as you learn to teach effectively with the limited resources available

7) On the first day of school, the kids all looked the same but on the last day, you have each one of those little faces imprinted distinctively in your heart
