Our Two Weeks at Precious Vision

I came here 2 weeks ago with my husband, Gavin, and our 17 year old son, Craig. I can truly say that we have had the most amazing experience ever and we really don’t want to leave. The children and this country have stolen our hearts and we are so grateful for the love they have shown us in such a short time. The people are fantastic, kind and friendly. They are just happy to believe that “tomorrow will be a better day” – very humbling!

Precious Vision Centre, where we worked, is such a remarkable place. Words cannot describe how it feel when a child gives you a huge smile, a welcoming “How are you” or a little hand takes hold of yours. The GVI team in Mombasa and the other volunteers have also made our experience so special. We were made to feel part of their team and have made several lifelong friends.
