GVI volunteers Sheri-An and Viki constructing medals for Olive Rehabilitaion Centre students
The day had finally come and excitement was in the air. We started off with the track races that included, egg & spoon, 3-legged race, and sack races. The teachers demonstrated each event, which made for quite an amusing sight.

It rained throughout the day, but we weren’t going to let a little bit of water spoil our fun. We took a mid-day break at the school and headed back to the field. We had a double-elimination Tug-Of-War tournament. During our first match, the rope snapped, and both sides went tumbling down. As the competing children looked around with a look of confusion, both teams raised their hands in triumph, cheering loudly.
Tug-of-war in full effect - these guys get competitive!
Sports day was awesome and I have great confidence that it will only get better. These kids are amazing and I will miss them very much.
